These guys are unbelievable! I really can't wait to see this technology mature and become standard tools for compositors. I wonder if in the near future it will be standard to move the camera around for a while bit before shooting to get footage for scene geometry reconstruction.

Content aware image resizing technique.

Totally cool method of resizing images. The computer looks for columns (or more accurately vertical/horizontal paths) of least significance and removes/scales those pixels instead of simply removing/scaling uniformly across the entire image. Very cool results. I wouldn't be surprised to see this being included in future web browsers to allow "intelligent" image resizing for web pages.
