Totally cool method of resizing images. The computer looks for columns (or more accurately vertical/horizontal paths) of least significance and removes/scales those pixels instead of simply removing/scaling uniformly across the entire image. Very cool results. I wouldn't be surprised to see this being included in future web browsers to allow "intelligent" image resizing for web pages.
Absolutely brilliant!
